For Siddhesh and Tanvi’s Maharashtrian wedding, that setting felt exactly right. There was a groundedness to the day that matched the location.

Siddhesh and Tanvi are the kind of couple who make a photographer’s job feel easy. Their comfort with each other — the small gestures, the private jokes that surfaced between rituals, the way they checked in with each other through every busy moment — gave us endless material to work with before we even raised the camera.

The wedding followed the traditional Maharashtrian format with full ritual integrity — the Ganesh puja in the morning, the Antarpat ceremony with the family gathered tight around the mandap, the sacred fire lit and the Saptapadi completed with the weight of intention behind every step. Tanvi’s Nauvari saree was a deep, rich colour that caught beautifully in the mandap light.

What made Siddhesh and Tanvi’s day distinct was how present they were. In the middle of a wedding — when there are relatives arriving, rituals running, caterers moving — it’s easy to lose yourself in the logistics. These two never did. They stayed connected to the occasion and to each other throughout, and it shows in every photograph.

The family portraits after the ceremony were relaxed and real — Panvel’s afternoon light was kind to us, and the genuine warmth between both families meant we never had to work hard to get a good group shot.
